She was predeceased by : her husband John; and her children, Kevin John and Debra Michelle. She is survived by : her son Jason (Jennifer Morton); her sisters, Bella Vincent, Jeanette Vincent and Julie Lavoie (Willie); her siblings-in-law, Lissa Vincent (late Donald), Robert (Jeanne) and Marlene Pelton (Mark); and her son-in-law Dwayne Houston (Dolores Kemball).

In place of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society in memory of Linda Poitras.
