We announce the death of Jerry Stinson of Birch River, Manitoba, who passed away on June 19, 2026, at the age of 80. Jerry will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Jerry will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Jerry will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Jerry’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Stinson and Ruby Stinson; and his brother-in-law Manny Toews (Bob Matthes). He is survived by: his wife Myrna Ellen Stinson of Wroxton, SK; his children, Jered Stinson (Elaine) of Bowsman, MB, Mark Stinson (Melanie) of Bowsman, MB, Darren Stinson (Cindy) of Grand Forks, ND and Julie Collyer (Jason) of Okotoks, AB; and his sisters, Shirlee Toews of Didsbury, AB, Iris Belcourt (Roger) of Woodlands, MB and Diane Matthes of Roblin, MB.. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 18 great‑grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
