John left this world on May 19, 2026 at the age of 61, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie and Isabelle; and his siblings, Margaret, Lizzy, Millie, Mary, Alice, Albert, Alexander (Loont), Leonard and Arnold (NeeTee).
He is survived by: his cousin Cara Widrick; his children, John Young and Brittany; his grandchildren, Ariel, Gage, Zander, John Jr. III, Lily, Ottavia, Benesi, Soraya and Jeremiah; his siblings, Lillian, Martina, Yvonne (Dennis), Virginia, Frank (Ellen), Louis and Danny; his girlfriend Ramona Ladouceur; and his girlfriend's children, Rudy, Quentyn and Trevor. He is also survived by grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Eternal Grace Funerals (10-1111 Logan Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3E1R1). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
