He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marcel Bretecher and Helen Bretecher; his sisters, Rita and Florence; his children, Jeffrey and Shannon; his friends, Joe Smigelski, Bill Bradford and Rufus Honish; and his child Alaskan.

Should friends so desire, donations may be made in his memory to the St. Boniface General Hospital Cardiac Care Unit, Fairview Personal Care Home, or a charity of one's choice.
