She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Smith and Grace Smith; her son Justin Nelson; her stepmother Lorraine; her parents-in-law, Joe and Mae Nelson; and her close friend Jacquie Pashe.
She is survived by: her husband Harold Nelson; her daughters, Leona and Lisa; her grandchildren, Leah, Louisa, Nova, Latifa, Sierra, Emma, Austin and Callum; her great grandchildren, Ronell, Sophia, Atticus, Joseph, Julianna, Trey, Jackson, Marley and Adrian; and her siblings, Joy, Donald, Richard, Wendy and Kimberly.
