He was predeceased by : his wife Fern; his parents-in-law, Harvey and Eleanor Tolton; his son-in-law Harold; his siblings, Ernie (Marion), Bill (Marion) and Gwen (Fred); his in-laws, Roland (Isabelle), Phyllis (Max), Horace and Robert; and his parents, Russell Stevens and Agnes Stevens (Munroe).

He is survived by : his children, Randy, Darry (Cher) and Jody (Carl); his grandchildren, Cameron and Tyler; his children, Michael, Branden (Regan), Riki, Jennie (Patrick), Dory (Adria), Riley (Rachelle) and Sally (Jeff); and his sisters-in-law, Roma Stevenson and Beverley Harris. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

“Uncle Fred was always calm, polite, thoughtful, a real gentleman. I remember visiting Auntie Fern, Uncle Fred and family when I was young, a treat as they were warm and hospitable, and the food was always remarkably good. As my older relatives die, I feel a real sense of loss, sad that we all must yield to the vicissitudes of time.”
