He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank and Sophie; his brother Frank; and his siblings-in-law, Raymond Zatylny, Peter, Arthur Pankratz and Lydia Miszczak.

He is survived by: his wife Justina Pankratz; his stepdaughters, Lorena Severson (Norman) of Ottawa, ON and Naomi Simoens (Marcel) of Brandon, MB; his granddaughters, Kayla and Kristy Simoens of Brandon; his daughter Darcie Degagne (Russell) of Winnipeg; his siblings, Joyce Zatylny and Don Diswinka (Judy) of Brandon; and his brothers-in-law, John Pankratz (Agnes) of Winnipeg and Henry Pankratz (Julia) of Toronto, ON..
