He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Merko and Mary Merko; his sister Rose Heffer; and his brother-in-law Wayne Heffer. He is survived by: his siblings, Russell, Martin, Mike, Peter (Rhonda), Larry (Jean), Sylvia Kelly (Harold) and Patricia Sawchuk (Barry); and his nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Stacey, Jason and Clinton. He is also survived by numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, along with extended family members and friends.
