He was predeceased by: his parents, Nickolas Prokopowich and Annie Prokopowich (Ciotka); his nephew Wayne Prokopowich; and his siblings-in-law, Phylis Prokopowich and Ernie Rizok.

He is survived by: his wife Gloria Rizok; his sons, Lyle (Tammy) of Leduc, AB and Jason (Kathy) of Headingly, MB.; his grandchildren, Shawn (Terri) of Edmonton, AB, Shane of Leduc, AB, Zachary and Abigail of Headingly, MB.; his brothers, Eugene (Elsie) and Elmer of Dauphin, MB.; his siblings' children, Ricky Prokopowich, Cindy Michaleski, Larry Prokopowich, Brent Prokopowich, Justin Rizok, Kerry McLellan, Tyler Rizok, Colin Rizok and Ashlyn Rudkavich; and his siblings-in-law, Nestor (Gloria) of Garland, John (Marge) of Innisfail, AB and Val Rizok of Dauphin. He is also survived by many cousins, relatives, and friends.
