He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lina Melsted and Gudlaugur Melsted; and his children, Eleanor Chwartacki (Walter), Dennis, Kathy Ayotte (Dave), Kris (Jo-Anne) and Jeff (Carla). He was also cherished by his family, friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Arnes Lutheran Cemetery.
