He was predeceased by: his parents, Nick Ruta and Mary Ruta; his sister Helen; and his brother-in-law Victor. He is survived by: his wife Darlene; his nephew Blaine (Brenda); and his nieces, Carla (Dwight) and Nola (Rick).
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel (50 1 Ave, Gimli, MB R0C1B0).
