He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest and Elizabeth; his sister Betty-Ann Spencer; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Spencer, Garth Betke and Alan O'Byrne.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia (Betke); his brothers, Wayne (Donna) and Ron (Sally); his children, Nicole Verhaeghe (James), Christopher (Megan) and Micheal (Sarah); and his grandchildren, Logan, Gabriel, Hannah, Benjamin and Amelia. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and cousins.
