He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Pascal and Charlie Keeper; his son Reynold Bushie; and his sister Flora. He is survived by: his wife Cora; his children, Caroline, Ron, Rick, Carla, Ronald Jr., Rodrick, Connia, Morgan and Odin; his siblings, Georgina Bushie, Ambrose, Elvis and Freddie; and his stepsiblings, Ian, Dwayne and Selma. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
