He is survived by: his wife Elise Sanders; his children, Lucy Maes (Brian), Mary Anne Schoonbaert (Brian), Helen Knockaert (James), Maurice Sanders (Barb), Yvonne Bossuyt (Randy), Roger Sanders (Belita), Diane Bourns (Robert) and Darlene McPherson (Allan); his grandchildren, Matthew (Sorena), Michelle (Daniel), Father Carl, Charlene (Eric), Paulette, Candace (Dave), Stephen (Heidi), Justin (Kaylee), Christen (Ryan), Aaron (Danica), Joel, Stephanie (Lance), Andrew (Leslie), Nicole (Adrian), Colin (Lisa), Kelly, Courtney (Joe), Dayle (Johnny), Nick (Sabrina), Avery, Desirae, Victor, Jacinta (John-Francis), Megan (Tanner), Brendan, Ben (Tessa) and Grace (Andrij); his siblings, Maria, Andre Sanders (Evelyn), Godelieve Vanwynsberghe (Roger), Gaston Sanders (Judy), Gerard, Marguerite Raes (Gerard), Michel, George Sanders (Shelia) and Odiel; and his in-laws, Ronald, Barb Devloo (Jerry), Geraldine Rowley (Brian) and Sharon. He is also survived by 49 great grandchildren, his numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A prayer was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church (532 Fuller Ave, Manitou, MB R0G1G0). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church (8 3 St, Swan Lake, MB R0G2S0). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
