He was predeceased by : his children, Melissa and Vernon; his sister Marjorie; and his parents, Ruth Robertson and Clifford Robertson of Margaret, MB..

He is survived by : his wife Wilma Opperman; and his children, Darvin (Sabrina Munsaram) and Marilyn Reimer (Rick). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Donations in memory of Douglas may be made to the Western Manitoba Cancer Centre, Diabetes Canada, or Brandon Seniors for Seniors.
