He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burch and Hope Burch; his sisters-in-law, Joyce Brooks (Clifford) and Shirley McKay (Alex); and his grandson David Burch.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Jean Burch; his grandchild Reg (Marian); and his children, Michelle (Jim), Edwin and Julianne. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
