We are sad to announce that on December 15, 2023, at the age of 84, Jean Hicks of Melita, Manitoba passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jean Hicks to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her husband Bryon Hicks; her parents, Margaret Morran and Laurence Morran; her brother Dave Morran; and her siblings-in-law, Jimmie Morran and Ted Elliott.

She is survived by : her son Lawrence Hicks (Carleen); her grandson Awley; and her sister Betty Elliott.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to support the restoration of the horse (playground equipment) in Melita's Central Park. Donations by cheque can be made to the Town of Melita, Box 361, Melita, MB. R0M 1L0 (in the memo please note, horse rejuvenation memorial) or e-transfer to [email protected] (password horse).
