Murray Coates Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 29, 2026, at the age of 85, Murray Coates in Morris, Manitoba, born in Darlingford, Manitoba passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his daughter-in-law Shannon St. Clair; his granddaughter Cassie Woodhouse; his sister Trudy Nash; and his parents, John Coates and Beatrice Coates.

He is survived by: his wife Gwen; his children, John (Leah), Mark (Colleen), Garth and Lynda; his son-in-law Joe Reimer; his sister Terry (Erich Del Monte); his grandchildren, Xanthia, Rachel, Jaquelyne, Sherry, Adam, Alyssa, Kimberly, Carolyn, Reginald and Samantha; his great grandchildren, Danielle, Brook, Bridgette, Hollie, Chelsea, Ryder, Hunter, Stormy, Rebecca, Ethan, Achilles, Jayden and Madeline; his great great grandchildren, Beau, Wells and C. J.; and his daughter Kathy Reimer. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Maurice Roman Catholic Church (253 Main St, Morris, MB R0G1K0).
