He was predeceased by : his parents, Jacob Unrau and Maria Unrau (Giesbrecht); and his siblings, William (Helen), Henry (Mary), Martin (Margaret), Rudy (Mary), Edward, Hilda (Ed), Martha (Dick), Maria, Edith, Betti (Ric), Andrew, Jake, Erica and Diedrich.

He is survived by : his wife Tina Sawatzky; his children, Stanley (Carrie), Wesley and Nancy (Wesley); his grandchildren, Sebastian, Zoe (Cayden), Leah (Chris) and Joshua (Camren); his great grandchild Daemon; his stepmother Ann Unrau; and his sister-in-law Helena. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
