He was predeceased by: his wife Edith Maranda; and his grandsons, Cory and Tyler Maranda. He is survived by: his children, Denis Maranda (Sandra), Jeannine Pouteau (Garnet), Lorraine Edmonds (Kelly) and Diane Maranda; his grandchildren, Jesse (Jocelyn), Brittany (Mark), Julie (Ryan) and Mitchell (Alyson); his great grandchildren, Henrik, Jett, Ada, Felix, Quinn and Atley; and his sisters, Yvonne Scott and Germaine Maranda. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
