He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul F. Thevenot and Yvonne Thevenot; his parents-in-law, Elmer and Ida Henderson; his daughter Theresa Thevenot-Allec; and his parents-in-law, Raymond Thevenot, Yvonne Lemieux (Nelson), Roger Thevenot, Jérome Thevenot, Doreen Thevenot, Pauline Thevenot, Antoine Grenier, Hervé Dansereau and Christine Henderson.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his children, David Thevenot (Michelle), Julie Ann Purcha (James), John Thevenot (Kristine) and Louise Watkins (Neal); his son-in-law Léo Allec (Gaylene); his grandchildren, Courtney (Ian), Nicholas (Shiva), Matthew, Benjamin (Kaitlyn), Chad (Amanda), Eric (Charity), Tyler (Britney), Katrina, Brent, Shelby (Alain), Cole (Darien) and Carter; his parents-in-law, Adrien Thevenot, Maurice Thevenot (Ilene), Roméo Thevenot, Sr. (Ellen), Juliette Thevenot, Cécile Grenier, Bishop Albert Thevenot M. Afr, Eva Dansereau, Noëline C. Thevenot, Shirley Thevenot, Mary Thevenot, Ken Henderson and George Henderson (Lorette); and his great grandchildren, Beckett, Paul, Liam, Nora, Sara, Tucker, Ava and Addison.
