The passing of Vina Swain (Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on July 17, 2025 at the age of 100. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kahpedashi (Kate) and Puckamogan (Talkingstone); her siblings, Raymond Swain, Mabel Esquash, Rosie Esquash, Fred Swain, John Swain and Mary Chartrand; and her great grandchild Anagonse Williamson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lorraine Williamson (Gordon), Donna M'lot and Mary Jane Swain; her grandson Dr. Kelvin Williamson (Crystal); her great grandchildren, Walker, Owen, Skyler and Hunter; her grandchildren, Tara Williamson and Jason Williamson (Christine); her great grandchildren, Kylie, Kenna and Alexis; her granddaughters, Christine M'lot (Chad) and Jennifer M'lot; and her sister-in-law Theresa Swain. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A wake will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the SLFN Community Hall. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Swan Lake First Nation Community Hall.
