Sophie Norosky Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sophie Norosky (Onanole, Manitoba), who passed away on February 2, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frances Wolski and John Wolski of Basswood, Manitoba.; her husband Joseph Norosky; her granddaughter Kirsten Hurl; her son-in-law Jim Bennett; and her siblings, Maria Wolski, Ludwig Wolski, Mabel Wolski, Annie McFadden, Adam Wolski, Martha Chastko, Joe Wolski, Bill Wolski, Rose Krushelnisky and Caroline Tarnowski.

She is survived by: her brother Tommy Wolsky of Calgary, AB; her great grandchild Doris Bennett of Vancouver, BC; her grandchildren, Dean Bennett of Vancouver, BC and Susan Jane Bennett of Toronto, ON; her daughter Shirley Hurl; her grandsons, Paul Hurl and Kent Hurl of Vancouver, BC; her daughters, Teresa Norosky of Vancouver, BC and Darlene Delavau; her grandson Chris (Lindsey) of Winnipeg, MB; her son Wes Norosky; her grandson Scott (Nicky); her great grandchildren, Lola and Joey of Brandon, MB; her grandson Tyler (Sarah); and her great grandchildren, Chael and Colton of Brandon, MB. She is also survived by many friends and her loving nieces and nephews.

She was also a volunteer for many years for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
