He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter and Katherine; and his siblings, Peter, Jake, Tina, Helen, John and Herman.

He is survived by: his wife Elvira; his children, Rick and Kim; his son-in-law Kelly; his grandchildren, Nicole, Lauren, Parker and Brooke; and his siblings, Isaac, David, Margaret, Sarah, Corny and Justina. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A burial was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Westridge Memorial Gardens (1900 Pembina Ave W, Winkler, MB R0G1R0). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Wiebe Funeral Homes Ltd. - Winkler (121 8 St, Winkler, MB R6W0M1).
