We are sad to announce that on January 6, 2026, at the age of 90, Anne Elizabeth (Young) Teghtmeyer (Portage la Prairie, Manitoba) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gardner Young and Frances Young; her former husband Ken Teghtmeyer; and her siblings-in-law, Bill Shirriff, Bob Teghtmeyer, Sheila and Joan Teghtmeyer.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Teghtmeyer (David) and Bill Teghtmeyer (Sharon); her granddaughter Sabrina; her stepgranddaughters, Jordann (Darcy) and Jessica; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Maelynn and Thomas; her sister Wilma Shirriff; her nephew Ken Shirriff (Kathryn); her niece Anita Borger (Henry); her great-nieces, Emma and Lillian; Sydney.
Viewing was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel (56 Royal Rd S, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N1T6). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
