Catherine Macauley Newham Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Catherine Macauley Newham (Portage la Prairie, Manitoba), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 27, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her sons, James Newham of Brandon and Matthew Newham (Nadine) of Portage; her grandchildren, Victoria Garnham (Tanner), Cameron Newham (Mackenna) and McKauleigh Tegg-Newham; her great grandchild Lenora Newham; her brothers-in-law, Joe Brown and Rick Spouge of Nottingham, England.; her parents, John McHale and Betty McHale; her husband Paul Arthur; her friend Gord Charlesworth; Arthur (Joyce Newham). She was also cherished by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A prayer will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Calendrier McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel (56 Royal Rd S, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N1T6). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Calendrier Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church (1125 E Saskatchewan Ave, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N3Y8).
