He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Nikkel and Elizabeth Nikkel. He is survived by: his sons, Rodney Lee (Wendy), Paul Steven (Kimberly) and Brent Edward (Delina); his wife Mary Nikkel; his grandchildren, Jesse (Kayla), Dustin, Tyler, Colton, Melanie (Bill), Jewel, Seanna, Colby, Thalia, Lisa, Sarah, Nancy, Ezra and Brielle; and his great grandchildren, Rosa, Mary, Scarlet and Will. He is also survived by 2 brothers and 8 sisters, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel (56 Royal Rd S, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N1T6). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Portage Evangelical Church (72 3 St NE, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N1N6).
