He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Carmichael and Irene Carmichael; his stepmother Lylia Carmichael; and his stepsister Lindy King. He is survived by: his wife Heather; and his brothers, Ron (Mary), Reg (Alana) and Ken (Deb). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
