She was predeceased by: her husband Glenn Harkness; her granddaughter-in-law Gillian; her siblings, Ross, Stephan Thompson and Norma McLaughlan; and her siblings-in-law, Annie Thompson, Evelyn Thompson, Betty Harkness, Norman McLauchlan, Oscar Domke and Roy Harkness.

She is survived by: her children, Shawn (Karen), Kim (Hilda) and Howard (Shirley); her grandchildren, Matt (Deane), Tiffany (Mark), Camilla (Jeremy), Nick, Robin (Shae), Oliva (AJ), Mallory (Ryan), Alex (Ty), Rebecca, Joseph, Scott and Brianne; her sister-in-law Lois Domke; and her niece Donaleen Gilchrist (Larry). She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
