Shirley Anne Cockroft Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 28, 2026, Shirley Anne Cockroft (Portage la Prairie, Manitoba) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Cockroft and Treva Cockroft; her stepmother Effie Cockroft; her siblings, George, Donald, Terry Cockroft and Edna Fawcett (Short); and her friends, Gerald Choptiany, Joanne Bourbonnier, Linda Lennstrom, Deanna McRae, Paula Martin, Darlene Andrews and Ruby Peters.

She is survived by: her sister Treva Brooks; her close friend Phyllis Richard; her roommates, Debbie Norman and Debbie McDonald; and her friend Leslie Simard. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel (56 Royal Rd S, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N1T6).
