He was predeceased by: his parents, Abram Dirks and Anna Dirks; his daughter Sandra Dirks; and his siblings, Frieda, Mary, Sophie, Ed and Walter.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his sons, Ronnie Dirks and Larry Dirks; his grandchildren, Ashley Dirks (Danny Bulischak), Robin Beuckert (Andrew), Matthew Dirks, Benjamin Dirks (Marissa), Jeffery Dirks, Anna Dirks, Vanessa Dirks and Aubrey Dirks; and his siblings, Henry Dirks and Clara Hamm. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in William's memory to the Wingham Cemetery, Box 92 Elm Creek, MB R0G 0N0.
