He was predeceased by: his son Fernando Dias. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Dias; his daughter Maria Mendes (Jorge); his grandchildren, Christine Mendes (Jason) and Matthew Mendes (Kelsie); and his great grandchildren, Antonia and Alina. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
