He was predeceased by : his parents, Matthew Deneka and Polly Deneka; his wife Ellen Deneka; his siblings, Irene, John and George; and his grandsons, Coty Azure and Adam Klimchuk.

He is survived by : his sisters, Anne Preyma, Olga Apperly and Nettie Sachafer; his children, David Deneka (Bonnie), Cathy Deneka (Alvin Azure), Deb Klimchuk (Brian), Carolyn Deneka (Barry Ludwig), Collin and Dale Deneka (Tanya); and his grandchildren, Darnell, Myranda Deneka, Shelby Eccles, Conway Azure, Mathew, Stephen, Jonathan Kilmchuk, Braden and Hannam Kelsey Deneka. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
