In loving memory of Catherine (Cathy) Sveinson (Selkirk, Manitoba), who departed this world on January 27, 2026 at the age of 73. Catherine leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Catherine shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Catherine farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bessie Montgomery and Robert Montgomery; and her brother Keith Montgomery. She is survived by: her husband Roy; her children, Kelly (Scott Bilous) and Kyle Sveinson (Elsa Chang); her grandson Cole; her sisters, Roberta Jones (Casey) and Judy Montgomery; and her grand-dog-ter Daisy. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, February 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel (309 Eveline St, Selkirk, MB R1A 1M8).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cathy's memory to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Selkirk or to Project Linus – Selkirk Chapter.
