He was predeceased by: his son Baby Skalesky; his parents, Augustine Skalesky and Amelia Skalesky; his sister Olga Simpson (Jim); his parents-in-law, Ted and Pearle Jorginson; his sister-in-law Darleen Rowley (Barry); his nephew Wayne; and his brother-in-law Murray Jorginson.
He is survived by: his wife Theda; his children, Rusty (Michele), Ted (Sandra) and Shelley (Bill); his granddaughters, Nicole (Jeff), Alice (Keaton) and Amelia; his great grandchildren, Owen and Landon; his extended family Kayla Robinson (Andrew); his children, Alivia, Jax and Darren McFetridge (Chelsey); and his grandchild Declan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers, a donation in Russ's memory could be made to the Selkirk Rotary Club, Marine Museum of Selkirk, Selkirk & District Community Foundation or Plant a Tree in his memory.
