He was predeceased by: his sister Irene; and his brothers-in-law, Ben, Bruce and Emil. He is survived by: his wife Christine (Thorlakson); his children, Heather, Alan (Kirsten), Elaine (Dennis), Susan (Dean) and Russel (Kristen); his grandchildren, Tyler, Emily (Andrew), Owen, Tommy (Nicole), Mikayla, Luke, Damien, Ethan, Arabella (Mathew) and Riley (Bailey); his great grandchildren, Lachlyn, Mason and Sutton; and his sisters-in-law, Marlene, Margaret and Hazel. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family would ask that you consider a donation to one of the following organizations; Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, Diabetes Canada, Kidney Foundation of Canada or Minerva Hall in Dad's memory.
