He was predeceased by: his wife Gaylia; his parents, Burt Sewell and Ellen Sewell; his sister Carrol Longmuir; his son-in-law Douglas Cox; and his pet Zip.
He is survived by: his children, Brian (Val), Cathy, Joanne and Carrol (Jamie); and his brothers-in-law, Neil Longmuir, Allan Watts (Andrew) and Carl Watts. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
