With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sydney Reimer of Sidney, Manitoba, born in Steinbach, Manitoba, who passed away on January 25, 2026 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sydney Reimer to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Reimer and Peter JB Reimer (Kehler); and his stepmother Marie Reimer. He is survived by: his siblings, Al, Nita, Louise and Charlotte; his daughter Marj; his grandson Tom; his wife Liebe Helen; and his children, Daryl Reimer, Jim (Janine Heinrichs), Jen (Eusebio), Kate, Sara (Anthony), Billy (Megan), Dan Reimer, Kim (Cal Kroeker), Mike (Adrielle), Erin (Gareth), Megan (Iain), Peter Reimer and James (Christine Reimer). He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Fort Garry Mennonite Fellowship Church (150 Bayridge Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3T5B5).

Donations in Syd's memory may be made to Mennonite Disaster Service.
