Marla Somersall Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on March 5, 2026, Marla Somersall (Souris, Manitoba) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid Marla farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Marla is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She is survived by: her daughters, Noelle Gaiess of Charlettown, PEI and Sonia Gaiess of Toronto, Ontario; her parents, Clare Somersall and Beverly Somersall; her brother Darren (Louise); her nephew Cody (Aiseosa Imasuen); her nieces, Kate Kelly (Brendan) and Sophie Kelly (Ryland); and her stepsister Vickie Short. She is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
