He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonse Preteau and Leona Preteau; his siblings, Roger, Claude, Louise and Diane; his brothers-in-law, Dick Pero and Thomas Adamson; his parents-in-law, Phil and Marie Prevost; his sisters-in-law, Brenda Prevost and Doris Prevost; his nephew Bobby Parent; and his nieces, Janice Adamson, Rosemary Elyk and Kyra Preteau.

He is survived by: his wife Jocelyne; his children, Phil (Wendy), Chantel and Keith (Minnesota); his grandson Owen; his stepgrandchildren, Kristen and Cody; his siblings, Richard (Shirlee), Edmee (Roy) and Reynald (Alida); his sister-in-law Bonnie Grawberger; and his in-laws, Bert (Angela), Raymond (Lynn), Norman, Leon (Kathy), Sally (Jeff), John (Margie), Victor (Shawny) and Bill (Bonnie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
