He was predeceased by : his wife Berni Plett; his siblings, Violet Wall, Jake Plett, Tillie Loewen and Trudie Friesen; and his daughter-in-law Lenore.

He is survived by : his children, Peggy Anderson (Grant), Pauline Loewen (Cliff), Danny Plett (Sherri) and David Plett (Junia); his siblings, Sarah Unger and Ron Plett (Anna); and his brothers-in-law, Clint Toews (Pearl) and Chris Toews (Laverne). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren.
