He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Friesen and Katherina Friesen. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Kornelsen. He is also survived by eight children, and their spouses, twenty-two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Birchwood Funeral Chapel (162 MB-52, Steinbach, MB R5G1Y1).
