We announce the death of Edwin Wiebe (Steinbach, Manitoba), who passed away on June 8, 2026, at the age of 78. Edwin will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Edwin will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Edwin will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Edwin’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Elnora Hildebrand of Landmark, MB; his children, Christabel (Simon Hughes (Parker), Roger (Lindsay (Lena) and Tania (Dylan); his siblings, Larry (Lorraine), Rick (Heather) and Debbie (Curtis); and his parents, Diedrich Wiebe and Katharina Wiebe. He was also cherished by in-laws, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
