It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Toews (Steinbach, Manitoba), who passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his stepmother Anna; his sister Kay; his brother-in-law Bill; his brother Pete; his sisters-in-law, Simone (John) and Ellen; his parents-in-law, Aron and Annie; his siblings-in-law, Dick, Rose, Peter and John; his grandson AJ; and his parents, John F. Toews and Susanna Toews.

He is survived by: his wife Mary; his daughter Sandra Furutani (Keith); his grandchildren, Jordan (Christina) and Abigail; his daughter Cynthia Toews (Jason Schmidt); his grandchildren, Kali and Rory; his son Andrew Toews (Genessa); and his grandson Jack. He is also survived by Dad loved his family.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, Manitoba (162 MB-52, Steinbach, MB R5G1Y1). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Birchwood Funeral Chapel (162 MB-52, Steinbach, MB R5G1Y1).
