She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Leger and Louis Leger; her husbands, Richard Snell and Cliff Fryers; and her siblings, Simone, Paul and Peter.

She is survived by: her son Gary (Holly); her daughters-in-law, Nancy and Pat; her sister-in-law Leah Leger; her sibling's children, Marie McGinley, Jocelyn Mathyk, Christian Leger, Bill, John and Damien McGinley; her granddaughters, Briana Letkeman (Evan) and Katrina Snell (Nicholas Fontaine); her great grandchild Nora Mae; and her brother-in-law Bill.

Marie's favourite charity was the Winnipeg Humane Society.
