With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Helen Reddekop of Steinbach, Manitoba, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Helen left this world on May 19, 2025 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her brother Henry; her brothers-in-law, John Martens (Leona), Abe Martens (Norma), Pete Martens (Olga), Jake Martens (Helen), Frank Braun and Walter Kruse; her sister Sarah Martens; and her parents, Peter F. Martens and Helena Martens.
She is survived by: her husband Gerald; her children, Donna House, Danita Quiring (Jonathan), Tanya Neufeld (Tyson) and Grayson Reddekop (Agatha); her siblings, Mary Braun, Anne Kruse, Susie Dueck (Lawrence), Cornelius Martens (Faith) and Leonard Martens (Evelyn); and her foster brother Jon Saxon (Heather). She is also survived by four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Birchwood Funeral Chapel (162 MB-52, Steinbach, MB R5G1Y1). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at the Heritage Cemetery (395 Loewen Blvd, Steinbach, MB R5G0B3).
