Margaret Bjornson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 31, 2020, at the age of 102, Margaret Bjornson (Steinbach, Manitoba), born in Oakview, Manitoba passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Oli Eiriksson and Gudrun Eiriksson; her son Eric Lyle; her husband Eric; and her siblings, Ella Sandercock (Bert), Ernest Eiriksson (Evelyn), Bjorn, Valdi Bjornsson, Magnus Bjornsson (Kay), Sigrun Cruise (Bill), Gudny Eiriksson (Geiri) and Lara Arnason (Steve).
She is survived by : her son Grant (Catherine); her grandchildren, Nathan Bjornson and Drea Haire (Ryan); her great grandchild Logan; her daughter Carol MacKenzie (Ken); her granddaughter Erica Kasdorf (Jon); her great grandchild Levi; and her grandsons, Lyle MacKenzie (Kaslynn) and Brian MacKenzie (Liana). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Margaret's last few months were very difficult for her and for us, not only because of her failing health but also because the COVID-19 pandemic greatly limited our ability to visit and interact with her.
While Margaret loved flowers, especially roses, we ask that those who wish to honour her memory do so by donating to Siloam Mission, Salvation Army, or a charity of their choice.
