He was predeceased by : his parents, Alfred Desmarais and Agnes Desmarais; and his siblings, Robert Desmarais and Denise Goovaerts. He is survived by : his wife Janice; his daughters, Julie Dubois (Denis) and Cheri Harel (Shawn); his grandchildren, Corey, Dylan, Jerzie, Raya, Blake, Nicholas, Danyka, Roxanne and Levi; his siblings, Paul (Mary Ellen Desmarais), Yvonne (Larry Trudeau), Maurice (Sharan Desmarais), Gerry (Gisele Desmarais), Leo (Suzanne Desmarais), Ray Desmarais (Audrey Nickel) and Annette Jamault; and his brother-in-law George Swojanovski. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
