She was predeceased by: her spouses, Derwyn Staples (Dag) of Thunderhill and Benito; her parents, John Strilaeff and Tina Strilaeff; her in-laws, Harold and Ora Staples; and her siblings, Laura (Peter Veregin) and Alex (Doreen Striaeff).
She is survived by: her son Robert Staples (Brenda); her grandchildren, Mandy and Chelsey Lennon (Jeff Fisher); her child Daren Staples (Deanna); her grandchildren, Branden, Tanner and McKenna; her daughter Marlene Staples; her grandchildren, Drew and Sydney (Johnny Trach); her sister Mary Nichvolodov (late Alex); and her siblings-in-law, Ronalea Greig (late Murray), Vernon Cooke (late Arlyn), Peggy Leskewich (Les) and Beth Dunbar (late Laurie). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Benito Legion Hall (95 Railway Ave, Benito, MB R0L0C0).
