He was predeceased by: his father Mark; and his grandparents, Robert Deprez, Fred and Joan Mitchell. He is survived by: his son Daniel Marcus McGillvery; his mother Cheryl; his brothers, Curtis, Darrin and Gerald; his sister-in-law Megan; his nephew Logan; his niece Lynley; and his grandmother Angele Deprez. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
